Hi! My name is Elijah I am going to teach you all about road runners. At the time I was in the dessert of Pensacola, Florida I was 7. I wasn't very old but I sort of knew what they looked like. I saw them in real life when I was a baby child around 4 or 5. They look pretty amazing because of how the legs are different than ours. Well of course it's different because its a bird; but, it is different than other birds because it's supposed to have two toes on the front and one on the back. But a road runner doesn't. It has two toes on the front and two on the the back. That's weird isn't it? I think it is called zygodactyl (zy-go-dac-tyle); still weird!
Do you know how to tell apart the road runner from baby to adult and from male to female? Well here it is the only way is if you want to know to tell apart male to female if the red blue colors are on the side of its head than its a male if it doesn't than its a female and if want to tell apart which is baby or which is not then I will tell you that the baby is the one that has a very short tall the adult has a very long tall. So when you want to know witch one witch then come to me if you can't look it up or the other way around. I really want to tell you this that when the road runner is running it takes 12 steps a second 12 steps a second is fast well that is because of the rapid feet and the legs and when you see the road runner running you can't see the legs and the feet because its going to fast and its so fast that it is mostly blur. And even you have glasses it still might be blur. Road runners are almost as tall as 2 ft tall they weigh almost 8-24 ounces wow no wonder they are so fast they have skinny strong legs four toed foot two back two front.
Eating Habits and PredatorsThe only most dangerous animals to the road runners are predators. they are mostly coyote desert eagles bull snakes and other animals larger than them. They only drink what they eat, and that isroad kills birds rats snakes and others it is very interesting to show you about road runners and what it is about.
Animal HabitatAll the animals that I told you about they all live in the sarona desert and some and some only live in very hot deserts like Florida deserts and Mexico deserts. So if you want to know about the road runner or if you want to know where they live. than they will probably be in those hot deserts that I just told you and maybe some other hot deserts.
animal life spanThey only live up to 8 years, and the mating time is like 7 years. they communicate each other by making cooing noises mostly not beep beep that is in the cartoon show lunytunes show. they lay about 6 to 12 yellowish white eggs.
